Pasture Raised Chicken
Our meat type chickens are raised only during the summer on pasture. They have portable houses for shelter and shade and a large range area surrounded by net fencing for predator protection. We move their house daily so they always have fresh grass underfoot. We also move the fence multiple times a week
to give them fresh grazing areas.
They are fed a custom mixed grain feed free of antibiotics.
Weights vary from 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 pounds.
Chickens are only raised during the summer and often sold out before fall. If you want chicken for the winter you will need to plan ahead to stock your freezer.
This year we have increased our production so more people can order.
The following dates we plan to have chicken available for sale.
All dates are subject to change with out notice. Sometimes the weather and other factors affect the growth of the chickens so dates might need to be adjusted.
July 30th and 31st
August 27th and 28th,
September 10th and 11th,
October 1st and 2nd,
October 8th and 9th.
Pick the date/month you prefer, contact us with your order and we'll let you know when your order is ready. We reserve the right to sell to another customer any orders not picked up as arranged. We often have waiting lists by fall so contact us to order early!
